Sebastián Perea Perea

Greetings, I am Sebastian Perea, and I come from two brave parents who are originally from the Chocó lands. They arrived in Bogotá with determination and hope, in search of a better future for their children. The mindset they instilled in me inspired me to dream big, no matter how challenging the path or obstacles presented may be.

It was that same determination that led me to choose the path of Medicine, since I believe that there is nothing more noble and human than providing help to others. This profession not only involves a commitment to people's well-being, but also provides us with valuable lessons by exposing us to the daily reality faced by those who need medical care, as well as the challenges they must overcome.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the OCMAES Foundation and all the donors who make it possible for young people like me to pursue our goals, regardless of the obstacles that arise along the way. You have been a source of invaluable support that has allowed me to move forward and contribute without expecting anything in return. I would love the opportunity to meet each of you personally to thank you for your outstanding work and for having contributed to my development as an agent of change in the health field in Colombia.

I am happy with the achievements I have made so far, but I am aware that I still have a long way to go. I would love to share that journey with all of you. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
