Laura Daniela Gonzalez Castellanos

I'm Laura González, I'm 21 years old, and I'm currently studying Nutrition and Dietetics at Universidad Javeriana. When I was in school, I never would have imagined the possibility of attending university, let alone a prestigious institution like Javeriana. My parents are separated, and my mother, as the head of the household, is the sole provider for me and my brother. The idea of higher education seemed unattainable. However, my effort in school, where I often ranked first, taught me that with dedication and perseverance, I could achieve great goals.

Therefore, I committed myself to excel in my studies, to dream, and to believe in a better future. Thanks to the scholarship granted by the OCMAES Foundation, I was able to continue my studies. This means a lot to me, as I aspire to be a professional who contributes to the country and shares love, faith, and dreams. As I approach the end of my studies, I begin to believe in the possibility of a transformed country through education and opportunities. That's why I've also decided to volunteer and travel to vulnerable areas of the country, sowing love, forgiveness, and hope in children and young people.

I can only express my deep gratitude to the OCMAES Foundation and every donor who contributes to the youth. May God bless them and multiply all the blessings they have brought to thousands of Colombian families.
